| Anyone aware of speeding on Aero's roads (by autos or motorcycles) or unauthorized activity on Aero's runway (drag-racing), please contact the Union County Sheriff's Department (704-289-1591) at any time, and/or make a Board member aware of these situations at an appropriate time (unless an emergency).
Also, for safety reasons, vehicles including golf carts should not be in the lake at any time.

| Aero 2nd Annual Clean Up Day - May 12 2008 9:00 a.m.
Come meet your neighbors at the hanger area for coffee and donuts before a general neighborhood sweep to clean up our common areas. We start at nine o’clock Saturday morning, May 12. We will move through the neighborhood looking for trash and issues that need addressing to make Aero sparkle as summer approaches. This, as last year, is a terrific time to assess your yard: what trees need trimming or cutting down, which shrubs succumbed to the drought, what piles of “stuff” need moving or shielding from the roadway. Let’s make Aero have the wonderful “curb appeal” they talk about on all those home improvement shows.

Annual Meeting

| This is a reminder that Aero's Annual Business Meeting will be held next Sunday, Feb. 10 from 2PM
until 4PM at Weddington Swim and Racquet Club. Please bring the packet of information that you received via mail concerning this meeting when you come. Also please bring an appetizer to share after the meeting. Beverages will be provided.
If you have not mailed or deposited in Aero's mailbox your ballot to elect new Board members, please do so by Feb. 9.

Kirk Metzerott

Metzerott, M.D.,
Lt. Commander USN Retired
Mr. Metzerott, of Rochester, MN died December 17, 2007. He was born February 14, 1929 in Rochester, MN.
Graduate of George Washington University and fellow of the Mayo Clinic of Rochester. Practiced anesthesia in Louisville, KY, Newark, NJ, and Charlotte, NC, and member of the AMA. He was also a Naval Aviator and Flight Surgeon. In NC he was a member of the Civil Air Patrol and The Flying Physicians Association and owned his own flight school.
He was a contributor to Sigma Chi, U.S. Naval Memorial, Tailhook Assoc., TIGHAR, The Flight of the Voyager, American Humane Society, Heifer International and various other charities. He was a member of the Doctors Mayo Society of the Mayo Clinic Alumni Association. Some of his interests included hunting and fishing. He was an avid outdoorsman and flight enthusiast.
In retirement he continued his studies at Oxford University, Philosophy at Worcester College and English History at Merton College. He attended the World Skeptics Congress at Heidelberg University. He was a voracious reader, music lover, and film buff.

He is survived by two sisters, Jo Oprendek and Pauline Hulen; nieces and nephews, Trey and Linda Oprendek, Rhonda and Matthew Latham; ex-wife, Beverly Metzerott; children, Oliver Metzerott, Dawn Thurman, Matthew Metzerott, and Heidi Metzerott; grandchildren, Rose, Lindsay, Amanda, and Graeme Thurman, Trevor Davis, and Megan Metzerott; ex-wife, Holly Metzerott; and his beloved dog and companion Dingo.
In lieu of flowers please send expressions of sympathy to Seasons Hospice of Rochester, MN, 5650 Watherhill Road, Rochester, MN 55902. Matthew, Dawn and Heidi wish to express their sincerest appreciation to everyone with Seasons Hospice.

Fall BBQ - 2007

|  It's that time of year for the Aero Plantation Fall BBQ. The event will be held on Saturday, September 29th at the hangar. The social hour will commence at 5:00PM and dinner will follow at 6:00PM
Aero Plantation will furnish the BBQ, baked beans, cole slaw and beverages. Please bring your favorite appetizer, covered dish, or dessert to share...along with your table and chairs or blankets.
Please RSVP with a dinner count by Sept. 25 to Ann Westphal.

Annual Aero 5K Walk/Run

| The 4th Annual Aero 5K Walk/Run event will be held on Saturday morning, May 6th 2006, at 9:00AM and will start at the Main Dam area. You can view the planned 5K course, the course Elevation chart and the Satellite photo of the course by selecting the hyperlinks.
The solid red ball indicates the starting point from there the course loops around Baron Rd. and Brandy Ct. then continues across the dam to loop back of Baron Road, then back down towards the main dam. It ends at the red circle with the white square at Brandy Ct.
Come out and enjoy the camaraderie of your fellow walkers/runners and neighbors on this fun but challenging course. We had a pretty nice turnout last year and hopefully we'll have an even better turnout this year. This is not a timed event as it's really focused on just having fun and getting out there.

You can see the link above just to the bottom left of the photo. It is a 47 page document that contains all the above. Just click on the link to view it. You can then print it out on paper or simply save it to your computer as a .pdf file.

| I just wanted to clear up some confusion that some of you might have about the website. There is a list of AeroPlantation residents on the "Contact Us" page. Aero residents are encouraged to have themselves listed there, not only for easy communication between residents but also for Official email notifications by the Board. If you are a resident, you need to request a listing on this page. Please contact me.
The website also has a "members list" which is open to the public in general. The requirements are that you must register with a valid email address and validate your membership with a response to the welcome email. This is should NOT to be confused with the Official list of Aero residents list which is used for communication between the Board and Aero Residents.
If you have any questions or would like to be included in the mailing list for residents, please contact me.

Fall Pig Picking
Saturday, Sept. 24, 2005
4:30-6:00 P.M. Social: At the hangar.
6:00 P.M. Dinner: At the hangar by the runway.
Aero Plantation Assoc. will furnish the pig, baked beans, drinks and paper plates, etc.
Please bring your favorite covered dish or dessert to share and table & chairs for your group.
Notice: Do not bring riding toys for your children.
If you plan to attend dinner please call Donna Birch (843-5838) with a count by Wednesday, September 21, so we will know how much food to prepare.
Volunteers Needed
There are many tasks that go into making our picnics a success. The more help we get, the more fun everyone has. If you would like to be involved in the fall picnic, please contact Donna Birch (843-5838) by September 11.

It's the same course as last year. It's a very loose and informal event. Timing yourself on the course will be up to you, as we don't have an Official Timer...unless someone would like to volunteer. New website server

| Some of you might have noticed that the Aero website had been down for a day or so. Our previous host had some major technical problems that just weren't getting resolved so we decided to move. We are now managing our own LInux server with a lot more resources, disk space and bandwidth. The website should work a lot faster and more reliably now than it ever did. Thanks for your patience.

| Both the Aero Photo Gallery & the Aero Talk Forum have been upgraded to the latest released scripts. There will be a major revision in the photo gallery script in the near future but we have the latest stable release installed right now.
Check out the Aero Talk Forum, it is a great but under-utilized resource here.

The annual Aero Fall Pig Roast

| It's again that time of year for the "Aero" Pig to be making his return appearance to the website. The Annual Aero Plantation Pig Pickin' will be held on Saturday, October 9th at the Hangar. The Social is from 4:30-6:00PM followed by the Bar-B-Q. Aero will supply the pig, baked beans, beverages and plates. Please bring a covered dish, salad or a dessert to share. Remember to bring your table & chairs. Please do not bring riding toys for the children.
